Diller to expand the firm's international structuring and transfer pricing capabilities
Baker Tilly is pleased to announce the addition of James Diller, JD, as International Tax Director. Diller specializes in providing tax consulting services to clients with international operations and interests.
Diller's background includes structuring new and existing foreign investments, cross-border merger and acquisition transactions, and global transfer pricing. He understands the direct and indirect tax concerns companies have with respect to operating in both developed and emerging markets and is committed to helping clients find practical solutions to their international tax issues. Assisting U.S. companies that are expanding into Asia, Europe, and Latin America, Diller will help clients take advantage of available tax opportunities. He will also provide transfer pricing services to clients who wish to centralize management of their global transfer pricing operations and supporting documentation.
Previously, Diller was General Tax Counsel for General Motors Corporation. He specialized in both U.S. and non-U.S. international tax planning, transfer pricing and controversy management. He has 26 years of professional experience and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Findlay in Ohio, a Juris Doctorate degree from Ohio Northern University, and an LLM (Taxation) degree from the University of Florida.
On June 1, 2009, the former Virchow, Krause & Company, LLP changed its name to Baker Tilly, becoming the exclusive U.S. branded firm in the Baker Tilly International network. The transition to the Baker Tilly brand is a commitment by the firm to meet the ever-changing global needs of its clients.
